Today is the first day of summer and here’s to a beautiful backyard this family can enjoy! These homeowners wanted to create an outdoor living space that would not only be great for their immediate family and children, but also for entertaining extended family and friends.

It was important to keep an open area around the swimming pool and pool deck for the existing playground, shed, and seating area, which led into the design of the entire project.

Our Lead Architect, Dan, designed a plan that encompassed a nearly 700 square-foot in-ground swimming pool, adorned with Nicolock Charcoal-colored coping. The interior of the pool was finished with Super Blue Quartzscapes, which really pops in the evening when the underwater lighting and waterfall features are turned on and illuminate the water.
A really great feature is that the waterfalls, and other elements, can be controlled remotely by a smartphone app!

The nearly 1,000 square-foot Paver Patio and Pool Deck is built with Westchester Blend-colored Nicolock Stoneridge and StoneRidge XL pavers, installed in a random pattern.

The smooth-flowing Natural Stone Retaining Wall is veneered with a Chocolate Gray color and capped with PA Bluestone Treadstock.

We also installed a Black, Alumi-Guard Canterbury fencing around the property with dual self-closing and self-latching gates. For the safety of children, audible alarms were also installed at the gates and alert the homeowners when the gates are opened.

A custom fire pit, plantbed preparation, plantings, and site restoration, as well as a drainage solution were also provided.
