Swimming Pool, Tanning Shelf, Spa, Hardscape Patio & Pool Deck

For this Ellicott City-area property, Rhine designed a complete backyard around an approximately 800-square-foot swimming pool with an integrated tanning shelf and elevated spa. A waterfall connects the spa to the pool below, adding movement and a strong visual focal point to the space.

The surrounding project includes a hardscape paver patio and pool deck, retaining walls, an upper patio and steps that connect the different outdoor living zones. Rhine also coordinated grading, drainage, landscaping and site restoration so the finished project functions as a complete system rather than a collection of separate features. This kind of integrated design is representative of Rhine’s outdoor living work throughout Ellicott City, Howard County and surrounding Maryland communities.
