This backyard transformation was planned to create a natural flow from the home into several connected outdoor living zones. Rhine built a 320-square-foot Trex deck leading to a 16′ x 16′ covered porch with a pine ceiling, creating a sheltered space that can be enjoyed in a wide range of weather conditions.

The surrounding hardscape patio uses Nicolock Stone Ridge XL pavers and connects the deck, custom fire pit and natural-stone seat wall. Integrated lighting along the path, seat wall and deck steps improves both function and nighttime atmosphere. Composite entry steps, landscaping, drainage and yard restoration completed the project. The result is a cohesive outdoor living space representative of Rhine’s work throughout Howard County and surrounding Maryland communities.
