This multi-feature backyard project combines a paver courtyard and patio, covered raised structure, outdoor grilling station, fire pit, retaining walls and extensive landscaping. Rhine also regraded the lawn and installed underground drainage so water management was addressed as part of the construction rather than after the fact.

The covered outdoor space uses pressure-treated framing with CertainTeed Landmark roofing, while the kitchen and entertaining areas are tied together with retaining-wall and column details. A round Nicolock fire pit creates a dedicated gathering point within the larger courtyard. Together, the drainage, hardscaping, outdoor kitchen and landscaping create a complete outdoor living environment for a Howard County-area home.
