Case Study – Clarksville Residence
When the owners of this property contacted us, they were in the middle of constructing their new home and pool house. The problem was they hadn’t found a company that could produce the design that they were looking for. The project area was confined by the house, pool house, a significant slope, and their septic reserve area. We gladly took the challenge that this site presented and developed creative solutions to turn the constraints into opportunities.
As is typical of many of our projects, we presented two different designs that incorporated everything on the owner’s wish list. In this case, the wish list included a large pool with a spa, lots of entertainment space, a pergola for a band stage, an outdoor kitchen/bar, fire features, and water features. The final design was a compilation of the original two designs. Beautiful natural stone retaining walls were constructed to help manage the slopes and create entertainment spaces on different levels. The swimming pool included a raised bond beam with three sheer decent waterfalls spilling into the pool. A remote controlled gas fire feature was built into one of the retaining walls and a patio inlay was installed to create a space for furnishings. The pergola was situated on the far side of the pool where there is a large patio space to create a destination space as well and the band stage and dance floor space. An outdoor kitchen with a bar was installed adjacent to this space. Large plantings were installed to provide instant privacy from the nearby neighbors and low voltage LED lighting allows the parties to last well into the night.
